ARTISTIC DESCRIPTION

Mithea’s Wonderland is a long-term, transdisciplinary artistic project unfolding as a living poetic archive, shaped by an intensely sensitive, imaginative, and affective way of perceiving the world.

The practice emerges from a perception in which no emotion is ever small: every everyday experience — a sound, a gesture, a landscape, a living creature — is lived with intensity and poetically transformed into image, sound, and word.

Through audiovisual self-documentation, visual poetry, experimental sound poetry, and action poetry, the artist turns her own life into a territory of sensitive exploration, where imagination functions both as a refuge and as a tool to give meaning to the experience of the world.

The project places particular emphasis on the beauty of the simple and the living, understood as a conscious practice of attention in response to a culture marked by the constant dramatization of pain and emotional numbness. Without denying vulnerability or the experience of suffering, Mithea’s Wonderland proposes an ethics of the gaze: choosing to observe that which sustains life, that which connects, that which loves.

The video creations take shape as poetic, cinematic experiences — deeply sensorial — with a sonic exploration rooted in field recordings, silences, organic rhythms, and vocal experimentation. These pieces culminate in a moment of direct encounter, in which the artist sits in front of the camera to share reflections, insights, and thoughts born from the lived process.

This gesture does not seek to teach or represent, but rather to establish an honest bond with the viewer, grounded in vulnerability, emotional responsibility, and a genuine desire for human connection.
