Artwork Description

Pedestals of Light is a series of paintings where abstract expressionism meets matter, merging the free gesture of acrylic with the tangible presence of stone. Black and pink stains engage in a dialogue between contrast and harmony, while stones embroidered with golden thread emerge as symbols of resilience and transformation.

Rather than representing obstacles, these stones become points of support—resistances elevated through the creative act. As an artist and poet, I conceive them not as barriers, but as pedestals from which to create, to dance, and to reveal the best of my work.

This series is a visual testament to a quiet alchemy: the ability to adorn difficulty, to turn weight into light, and to transform every challenge into a place of elevation.

This artwork is part of a closed series of ten pieces, conceived to be appreciated both individually and as a group, forming an intimate and harmonious wall composition.
Due to their delicate scale, the works invite close contemplation and are especially compelling when displayed together.

The artwork is delivered framed in a simple protective frame.
The frame does not include a hanging system, allowing the collector the freedom to choose the mounting method best suited to their space.

Descripción de la obra

Pedestales de Luz es una serie pictórica donde el expresionismo abstracto se encuentra con la materia, uniendo el gesto libre del acrílico con la presencia tangible de la piedra. Manchas negras y rosadas dialogan entre contraste y armonía, mientras piedras bordadas con hilo dorado emergen como símbolos de resiliencia y transformación.

Lejos de representar obstáculos, estas piedras se convierten en puntos de apoyo: resistencias elevadas a través del acto creativo. Como artista y poeta, las concibo no como barreras, sino como pedestales desde los cuales crear, danzar y revelar lo mejor de mi trabajo.
